BIO & ART STATEMENT

Jalinka is an artist who creates mixed-media paintings and collages that explore and communicate concepts of mysticism, nature, and freedom through surrealistic and symbolic narratives. She draws inspiration from various sources and uses all her senses, including her dreams, to create balanced compositions featuring figurative and abstract work. Her creative process is primarily associative and experimental.

"I am an explorer of imagination. Ideas flow endlessly from within and in the world around me. With a love

for hunting and collecting the unique and the odd,

I wander through flea markets, antique shops, and second-hand bookstores filled with stories and history. However, the most magical discoveries are always in nature."

"Using art as a transformative tool, I visually communicate patterns and connections, shaping my life's purpose in this absurd existence. Sharing my art conveys that it heals and connects the internal with the external, it is synonymous with (my) life. Each moment is an opportunity for change."

Meet Amsterdam-based visual artist Jalinka Gressmann—an eclectic creative with a background in interior design, 3D design, and autonomous sculpture. Her work has been displayed worldwide and
